Editorial Policy

This page sets out how ToolInsightPro decides what to publish, how we handle money, and what you can hold us to. It applies to every article on the site.

Who we are

ToolInsightPro is a small independent publication that reviews software and AI tools. We are not owned by, funded by, or operated on behalf of any software vendor. Content is produced and edited by the ToolInsight Pro team. You can reach us at ToolInsightTeam@gmail.com.

Independence

No vendor has editorial control over anything on this site. Vendors do not see articles before publication, cannot request changes to a verdict, and cannot pay to be included, ranked higher, or described more favourably.

If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled as sponsored at the top of the page, in plain language, before you read anything else.

How we make money

Through affiliate commissions and advertising. When you buy a tool through one of our affiliate links, the vendor pays us a commission and you pay the same price you would have paid anyway.

This creates an obvious incentive, so here is how we handle it. A tool being an affiliate partner never makes it the recommended pick. Our comparison articles regularly include tools we earn nothing from, and we say plainly when a cheaper or free option is the better choice. If following our advice costs us a commission, that is the correct outcome. Full details: Affiliate Disclosure.

How we choose what to cover

We cover tools our readers are likely to be deciding about — usually because the tool is new, widely discussed, expensive enough to be worth researching, or confusing enough that the vendor’s own page does not answer the obvious questions. We do not cover a tool simply because it has a generous affiliate programme.

Accuracy

  • Facts come from primary sources first: official documentation, pricing pages, terms of use, refund policies
  • Vendor claims are labelled as vendor claims when they cannot be independently verified
  • Pricing-sensitive articles carry the date the pricing was checked
  • Where a fact cannot be verified, we say so rather than guess
  • Nothing is invented — not features, prices, limits, testimonials, ratings, screenshots or personal experience

Our full process is described in How We Review Tools.

Facts, opinions and experience

We keep these separate. Verifiable facts are stated as facts. Judgements are argued as judgements. And we only describe hands-on experience with a tool when we have actually had it — most of our reviews are desk research, and those articles say so.

Updates and corrections

Software changes. We revisit important reviews and update pricing, features, limits and policies, and each article shows when it was last updated.

If you find an error, email ToolInsightTeam@gmail.com with the page URL and what is wrong. We correct factual errors as quickly as we can verify them, and we note material corrections on the page rather than editing quietly.

What we will not do

  • Publish fake reviews, fake ratings, fake testimonials or fake screenshots
  • Claim testing we did not do
  • Use urgency or scarcity language that is not factually true
  • Promise income, results or outcomes on your behalf
  • Give legal, financial, tax or investment advice

Our limits

We are a software review site, not a law firm or an accountant. Where we describe licensing, commercial-use rights or refund terms, we are summarising what the vendor’s published terms say on the date we checked them. That is information, not legal advice. For anything that matters commercially, read the vendor’s current terms yourself and take professional advice where appropriate.
