Quick answer: GetTerms is a cookie consent manager and website policy generator. Its AppSumo lifetime deal has five tiers, from $79 for 3 sites or apps to $569 for unlimited, all with the same features. On the day we checked, GetTerms sold its own Business lifetime plan at $249 per website, so the AppSumo price per site was much lower.
GetTerms scans cookies, blocks them until consent, logs consent and generates privacy, terms, cookie, acceptable use and return policies. The AppSumo listing shows 69 reviews at 4.4 and 3,552 buyers. We have not used it ourselves. The facts below come from the AppSumo listing and the GetTerms pricing page, both read on 6 November 2026.

What each GetTerms tier includes
| Tier | Price | Sites or apps | Price per site (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | $79 | 3 | $26.33 |
| Tier 2 | $149 | 10 | $14.90 |
| Tier 3 | $289 | 25 | $11.56 |
| Tier 4 | $459 | 50 | $9.18 |
| Tier 5 | $569 | Unlimited | Not applicable |
Every tier lists the same features: a cookie consent manager, cookie scanner, cookie reporting, consent banner with unlimited views, consent logs, five policy types, unlimited policy edits, policy hosting, PDF export and a WordPress plugin. The listing says the banner carries no branding and supports Google Consent Mode v2, geo-tagging, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Hindi and German, plus one custom translation. It names GDPR, CCPA, CalOPPA, PIPEDA and Law 25 as the laws it targets.
AppSumo price against GetTerms’s own plans
GetTerms sells monthly, annual and lifetime plans per website. The AppSumo plan is called Compliance Pro, and the listing does not say which GetTerms plan that matches. We used Business as the closest match, because it lists all legal policies, unlimited policy edits and unlimited banner views.
| Plan on GetTerms’s pricing page | Price | Sites covered | Cost for 3 sites (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter, annual setting | $5 a month per website | 1 | $180 a year |
| Business, annual setting | $8 a month per website | 1 | $288 a year |
| Business, lifetime | $249 per website | 1 | $747 once |
| AppSumo Tier 1 | $79 once | 3 | $79 once |
Against the annual Business price, AppSumo Tier 1 pays back in about 3.3 months for three sites ($79 divided by $24 a month). Against the direct lifetime price the gap is larger. The pricing page also showed a 20% lifetime promotion with a countdown, which narrows the gap slightly but does not close it.

What the listing leaves unconfirmed
GetTerms’s Business plan lists regulation monitoring, and the AppSumo grid does not. The listing also says deal buyers get all future Compliance Pro plan updates, so anything GetTerms places in a higher plan may cost extra later. Ask the vendor in the AppSumo Q&A whether regulation monitoring is part of Compliance Pro before you rely on it.
Policy tools do not make a site compliant on their own. Consent has to be collected before tracking scripts run, and the banner has to be configured for your regions. If accessibility is also on your list, our guide to WordPress accessibility plugins and WCAG covers a separate compliance question that this tool does not address.
Deal terms and what to check
Terms list lifetime access, all future Compliance Pro plan updates and a 60-day window to activate your license. You can upgrade between the five tiers while the deal is live and downgrade within 60 days of purchase. Codes do not stack. Earlier AppSumo buyers can upgrade and keep any new features and limits. GetTerms was founded in 2017 in Perth, Australia, has 1 to 10 staff and is bootstrapped. The founder says it is back on AppSumo after an earlier run in February.
A tiny team means support depends on a few people. Our subscription versus lifetime deal math shows how to weigh that against the price. Test the cookie scanner on one live site inside the refund window before rolling it out to every client.
What reviewers say
The rating is 4.4 from 69 reviews: 52 five-star, 5 four-star, 6 three-star, 4 two-star and 2 one-star. AppSumo’s summary says buyers praise the interface, the support and the customisation of policies, and mentions some minor bugs. Twelve reviews at three stars or lower make up about 17% of the total, so read what those buyers describe before you commit.
GetTerms lifetime deal questions
How much is the GetTerms lifetime deal?
AppSumo lists five tiers: $79 for 3 sites or apps, $149 for 10, $289 for 25, $459 for 50 and $569 for unlimited. Every tier lists the same features and a refund window of up to 60 days. Only the number of sites or apps changes.
Is the GetTerms AppSumo deal cheaper than its own lifetime plan?
On the day we checked, yes. GetTerms listed a Business lifetime plan at $249 per website. AppSumo Tier 1 covers 3 sites for $79, near $26 a site by our arithmetic. GetTerms also showed a 20% promotion, so compare both prices at checkout.
Does GetTerms include a cookie banner and a policy generator?
Yes. Every tier lists a cookie consent manager, cookie scanner and consent banner, plus generators for a privacy policy, terms of service, cookie policy, acceptable use policy and return policy. The tiers also list a WordPress plugin, policy hosting and PDF export.
Does GetTerms replace legal advice?
No. GetTerms builds documents from your answers, and the listing says they are written by lawyers. That does not make a site compliant by itself. If you handle sensitive data or sell in strictly regulated markets, have a qualified lawyer review the output.
Bottom line
Buy Tier 1 or Tier 2 if you run a few client sites or your own projects and need a cookie banner and policy pages, because the per-site price is far below GetTerms’s own lifetime plan. Choose Tier 4 or 5 only if you manage dozens of sites. Skip it if you need legal sign-off, or if regulation monitoring is essential, until the vendor confirms what Compliance Pro includes.
